The KYAN Residency works by invitation and offers a rent free studio to both local and international artists for a period of one to three months. The purpose of the residency is to provide the invited artists a nurturing creative environment, while experiencing the fresh and vibrant local art scene. During the residency several studio visits are planned , as well an open studio presentation at the end of each cycle. 

Located in central Athens, in the historic district of Exarheia, the studio is in walking distance from all the central art shops and bookstores, the archeological museum, central galleries, numerous artist run spaces, as well as many theaters and cinemas.

The KYAN Residency works in a communal standard, with other artists working in the building simultaneously. Therefore, each resident is required to respect the terms and conditions of their participation. Our program does not offer housing, and the only requirement for the resident artist, is a donation of one work of their choice for the program’s archive.
